Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing in the team competition for Fan of the Year. The film was shot on location in historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like this all year round. The filming locations that served as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ are also real-life family businesses.

I thought it had just the right amount of football fans and a love story. I loved the action with the figure skating, the cameos, and the Hallmark twists. I’m glad we don’t have to wait until the end of the movie to see the main characters kiss for the first time. And you obviously didn’t know that a pillow brings luck or that you can eat grilled chicken wings at your favorite sports bar at the right time.
But I’m a romantic
It brought back so many memories of my husband and me being the sports fans in my family. I can really understand the family connection to this hat – I have one for my 16-0 shirt. I thought the movie was fun and well-made.
