Plot
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, as she uses her extraordinary mind to help solve a crime while reorganizing evidence during her shift as a janitor at the police department. HPI series (2021). Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of the occult, Morgan makes a number of basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a TV law show would know not to make.

For example, in the first episode, she retrieves a document from a locked safe in the victim-suspect’s law office that would never be admissible in court—illegally obtained evidence. Nor could it be used to obtain other evidence, a violation of the legal doctrine of “fruit of the poisonous tree.” In episode 2, she must be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at the crime scene, and in episode 3, she removes all documentary evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and making everything she took disappear. Remake of HPI (2021).
Episode 3 really goes off the rails and I hope episode 4 really improves
Okay, so the series started off really well, with Kaitlin Olson delivering a solid performance. The series is very similar to TBS’s The Monk, where a man with borderline Asperger’s Syndrome helps the police solve crimes. Again, the show is solid so far, but not as weird or fun to watch as Monk, but it is fun to watch.
WILL YOU RESPOND?
In this episode, she is overly righteous and obstructive. She takes evidence from the police station, organizes the evidence, and contaminates it. A tactic that would get the case thrown out.
Again, I hope this improves with series 4
Zero… It’s almost disturbing how annoying she is in this episode. She shows little self-awareness or remorse for her actions.
