Forced into exile by geopolitics, Alexei Molchanov—the world’s greatest diver and son of recreational diving pioneer Natalia Molchanova—has spent 2023 on a journey to reclaim his sporting glory and honor the immense legacy of his iconic mother, attempting to deliver the most dominant season in the history of the deadly sport. A near-suicidal quest to set five world records in less than four months has taken him to the farthest reaches of the globe and to the very limits of human possibility. In the process, he is forced to reevaluate every skill and belief he has relied on his entire life.
