James Gunn introduced “CREATURE COMMANDOS” before heading DC
Tells about a group of military superhumans, which includes a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster and a gorgon. Gunn then green-lighted the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios. Screenwriter and series creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop typing the script.

. Featured in the AniMat film Crazy Cartoon Cast: Return of the King (of the Mountain) (2023). I’ve always loved the DC universe, and while I think the DCEU has been overrated, I’ve been very disappointed with several DCEU projects.
just a regular action movie (especially the sequels)
This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative. I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and series have become too generic, that’s the key to the solution. There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theater because they think, “One more superhero movie, damn it, there’s been too many,” because they’re all the same.

I think James Gunn is really going to change the situation, and I can’t wait. I also think that since Marvel has become so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans), and I think that if DC gets their way in the next couple of years, lesser known characters will be able to do well at the box office. But yes, it was a great start, and I can see that it will only be better in the future..
