Bug doesn’t have much time for them
Plot
Bailey lives with her brother Hunter and father Bug, who is raising them alone in north Kent. Bailey is looking elsewhere for attention and adventure. Barry Keoghan dropped out of Gladiator II (2024) and starred in this film instead.

Edited to Fontaines D.C.: Bug (2024). a coming-of-age drama about Bailey, a 12-year-old girl who lives in a very poor neighborhood in Kent and spends most of her time running deep into the city and recording events that mean something to her on her phone. However, her father Bug (Barry Keoghan) expects his daughter to attend the wedding with another woman, and after Bailey runs away, she meets a mysterious man named Bird (Franz Rogowski), who then draws on a powerful story about friendship and family.
I think it definitely did its job of delivering a thoughtful message with standout performances that really make an impact, and I can respect that
poverty. Of course, this is a very well-made film and it didn’t seem like it needed a lot of budget because of the bright performances of the next generation of actors. However, this film is definitely not for everyone as it spends its entire runtime exploring this type of dangerous environment and the positive side that comes with it.

But, my personal opinion, I really don’t like the characters, and I mean, yeah, they’re #39;accurate, but I literally see people like that every day, and I really can’t condone the actions that most people do in this movie. Even though some of the scenes with them are very funny, I can’t relate or sympathize with what some of the characters do in this movie, and I hated Bug’s character, the annoying but realistic portrayal of people. But the acting is very good, my favorite character Bird really doesn’t have many lines, but he doesn’t need to.

I also wouldn’t really encourage young kids to talk to a random stranger and follow them around, but Bird is an escape for these kids and it’s not what it is. Overall, I would never watch it again, 39;I don’t think it’s a movie to watch on the big screen, but more at home. Bird has decent performances, humor and great scenes but I didn’t like most of the characters, even Bailey was annoying but I think that’s the point of showing that people like them are real and actually live like this so I think it’s good news but don’t see it in the cinema, I just don’t think it’s fascinating to be honest and the runtime could be adjusted as it’s a bit too long in my opinion but I wouldn’t recommend rushing to see this.
